Stain Resistance

Stainmaster guarantees that the surface pile of the carpet will resist stains by most foods and beverages. However, no carpet is fully stain proof and the warranty excludes stains from non-food and non-beverage substances, particularly bleaches, acne medications and drain cleaners, as well as strong natural dyes like mustard and herbal teas, vomit, urine and feces.

Soil Resistance

Stainmaster guarantees that a carpet subject to normal indoor household floor traffic will not noticeably change color due to the accumulation of dry soil, if you have been following the recommended carpet care and cleaning instructions. Specifically excluded are color changes due to stains from the list above, as well as damage from burns, pets, tears, cuts, pulls, shading or pile reversal, furniture depressions or athletic equipment.

Texture Rentention

Stainmaster guarantees that the surface pile of your carpet, when installed over correct padding and subject to normal residential use, will not lose pile texture and the carpet tufts will not burst, bloom, open or loosen their twist. This does not include damage from tears, pulls, cuts, pilling, burns, pets, furniture coasters, athletic equipment, vacuum marks or heavily wheeled devices. Changes in appearance caused by soiling, shading, pile reversal, or furniture depressions are also excluded.

Abrasive Wear

Stainmaster guarantees that your carpet, except those on stairs, will not lose more than 10% of its surface fiber to abrasive wear for ten years. That does not include wear or damage from tears, pulls, cuts, pilling, shedding, matting, crushing, shading, or pile reversal, burns, pets, improper cleaning, improper installation, or defective construction.

Anti-static Protection

Stainmaster guarantees that for the life of your carpet it will not generate static electricity greater than 5.0 kilovolts.
